Brulo Sabro Galaxy
Aroma & Taste
Tropical · Coconut · Citrus
Brulo Sabro Galaxy opens with intense piña colada aromas — ripe pineapple and distinctive coconut from the Sabro hops transport you straight to the tropics.
On the palate, the beer delivers a juicy, full-bodied hit of passionfruit and citrus, with Galaxy hops layering in grapefruit and mango balanced by a smooth, creamy mouthfeel.
The finish is clean and refreshing, with lingering tropical fruit and a subtle resinous bitterness that keeps you reaching for another sip.
Story & Design
Brew Low · Edinburgh · Scotland
Brulo (pronounced "brew low") was founded in 2019 by James Brown with one mission: to brew seriously good beer that never holds you back.
Sabro Galaxy is a double dry hopped IPA — meaning hops are added twice during fermentation for maximum aroma without harsh bitterness. The Sabro + Galaxy combination is a modern craft classic, prized for its coconut-tropical character.
The can design features Brulo's signature wide-open eye on a vibrant gradient — a nod to the brewery's philosophy of clarity, presence, and being fully awake.
Ingredients & Value
DDH IPA · 0.5% · 17 kcal
This DDH IPA uses a lean five-ingredient formula — water, barley, wheat, hops, and yeast — letting the Sabro and Galaxy hop combination shine without distractions.
At 17 kcal and 3.2g sugar per 100ml, it's remarkably light for such hop intensity. The €3.33 per can price reflects Brulo's commitment to doing things properly — premium hops, no shortcuts, exceptional results.
Verdict & Opinion
Hero
3, 2, 1 — liftoff. You don't sip this beer. You launch.
Sabro and Galaxy aren't just hop varieties — they're the Lennon and McCartney of modern craft brewing. One brings the coconut-tropical weirdness, the other layers in stone fruit and citrus. Together, they've launched a thousand IPAs. Brulo's version might be the best non-alcoholic expression of this duo we've tasted.
Drinking this feels like a tropical holiday without the jet lag. Eyes closed, somewhere warm, no responsibilities. The kind of beer that makes you text your friends unprompted: "you need to try this."
Edinburgh might seem an unlikely launchpad for tropical flavours, but Brulo doesn't care about geography. They care about doing things properly. Five ingredients, double dry hopped, zero compromise.
Hero status confirmed. We have orbit.
